About Us

join us in building a connected north.

Broadband North is bridging the digital divide in Northern and Indigenous communities across Canada. Through high-speed, reliable, and culturally grounded broadband infrastructure, we're laying the groundwork for stronger local economies, digital sovereignty, and future-ready Nations.

What sets us apart

Our work is guided by Indigenous governance, with projects led by Indigenous leaders and decision-makers who understand the unique needs of their communities. Every solution is co-developed with the community it serves, ensuring it reflects local priorities and values. We view connectivity as a catalyst for economic development - empowering entrepreneurship, education, and innovation. Backed by trusted advisors and technical experts in Indigenous finance, infrastructure, and telecommunications, we bring experience and meaningful impact to every project.

We work with First Nations governments, federal and provincial partners, telecom companies, and community leaders to deliver sustainable connectivity solutions. We understand that broadband is a right and together, we're making it a reality.

We're proud to offer flexible training delivery options, including classroom sessions through local colleges, a mobile training trailer to reach remote locations, and pre-developed programs that support faster implementation.

CUSTOMIZED THEORY

We offer training content that is tailored to each Band's specific needs and level of involvement, with theoretical components designed to meet all required certification and knowledge standards.

HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE

Weekly in-office training offers hands-on experience with real equipment and networks, while trainees also work with Solo Cable Solutions to learn key construction procedures like aerial, buried, last mile and backbone installations.
