A Scalable Model for Reconciliation: Broadband North helps governments close the digital divide through Indigenous-led, shovel-ready infrastructure projects that align with national priorities.
what we deliver
Broadband North delivers community-led projects that align with federal priorities, including those of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED), the Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC), and Indigenous Services Canada. We help mobilize private capital alongside public investment to ensure long-term sustainability, while serving as a trusted intermediary between Indigenous communities, telecom providers, and all levels of government. From regulatory compliance and performance reporting to tracking community impact, we ensure every project meets the highest standards.

Shared Priorities, Shared Outcomes

We champion universal high-speed internet access, Indigenous-led procurement and employment, and alignment with the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada (TRC) Calls to Action, and Canada's Digital Charter. We also prioritize data sovereignty and inclusive digital development.
